ORLANDO — A business invitee is suing Crowne Plaza, alleging negligence caused him to fall in the hotel dining area.

Brandon Salehinasab filed a complaint Oct. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Interstate Hotels & Resorts Inc., doing business as Crowne Plaza Universal, alleging the hotel owner failed to maintain its property in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 11, 2017, Salehinasab was at the Crowne Plaza, 7800 Universal Blvd., Orlando. The suit says he slipped in a pool of water that had formed on the dining floor.

Salehinasab says he sustained bodily injuries and resulting pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of earnings and medical and hospitalization expenses. The plaintiff alleges Crowne Plaza Universal negligently created a dangerous condition by allowing water to pool on the dining floor area.

Salehinasab seeks trial by jury and damages of more than $15,000. He is represented by attorney William E. Sublette of Sublette Law Offices in Orlando.
