ORLANDO — A car passenger is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a parking lot crash that injured the plaintiff.

Gloria M. Galindez of Orange County filed a complaint Oct. 4 in Orange County Circuit Court against Diana K. Freeman, alleging the driver failed to keep her motor vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, on June 1, Galindez was a restrained passenger in a motor vehicle parked in the lot at 2710 South Orange Ave., when Freeman negligently struck the rear left side of Galindez's vehicle. The suit says Galindez sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, inconvenience, disfigurement, loss of earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Freeman failed to observe her surroundings, failed to properly operate and/or park her vehicle and failed to timely apply the brakes.

Galindez seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Zachary A. Leacox of McBride, Scicchitano & Leacox PA in Orlando.
