CLEARWATER — A Treasure Island cyclist is suing a Pinellas Park motorist, alleging the defendant negligently ran over the plaintiff.

Lloyd Pryor Jr. filed a complaint Oct. 1 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Samantha Adams, alleging the defendant failed to operate her motor vehicle in a lawful manner.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 12, 2017, Adams was driving her 2017 Nissan NV Cargo near the intersection of 70th Avenue North and the southeast entrance at the Shoppes at Park Place in Pinellas Park. The suit says she struck Pryor who was riding his bicycle.

As a result, Pryor says he sustained serious bodily injuries, resulting in pain, mental anguish, medical expenses and lost income.

Te plaintiff alleges Adams negligently and carelessly operated and/or maintained her motor vehicle, so that it violently collided with the bicycle Pryor was riding.

Pryor seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000 and all further just and proper equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Frank DiCosola of Pinellas Park.
