CLEARWATER — A bar owner is suing her former landlord citing alleged breach of contract and tortious interference.

Susan Marie Hutton dba Tiki Bar filed a complaint on Oct. 1, in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida-Pinellas County against Abraham Reid and Abraham's Furniture Galore, Inc. alleging that the defendant materially breached the lease by attempting to evict plaintiff from the premises that she leased until Oct. 1, 2019.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 1, 2014, parties executed a lease agreement where plaintiff Hutton will lease defendant's property from Oct. 1, 2014 through Oct. 1, 2019.

However, plaintiff claims, on Sept. 21, 2016, defendant allegedly served her with a notice that the lease would be terminated on Oct. 31, 2016, violating the terms of the lease.

The plaintiff holds Abraham Reid and Abraham's Furniture Galore, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly intentionally and without justification, interfered with plaintiff's current and prospective business relationships by terminating the lease agreement, harassing her customers, placing inappropriate and offensive writings on the windows of her business and intentionally blockading customers from entering the property.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages sustained, plus litigation expenses, pre-judgment interest, costs, and any other relief the Court deems just and proper. She is represented by Bryen N. Hill of MacFarlane Ferguson & McMullen in Tampa.
