ORLANDO — An Orlando homeowner is suing an insurer, alleging breach of contract.

Liliana Aguirre-Timm filed a complaint Sept. 27 in Orange County Circuit Court against Olympus Insurance Company, alleging failure to pay for water damage in her kitchen,

According to the complaint, on Aug. 18, 2017, Aguirre-Timm suffered a loss at 1044 Byerly Way, Orlando, due to water damage in the kitchen. The suit says the damage resulted from a leaking water supply line, which is a covered loss under the policy.

Although Olympus Insurance was given timely notice of the loss and had acknowledged coverage for the loss, it has rejected and refuses to provide the total amount of damages to repair Aguirre-Timm's property, the lawsuit states.

The plaintiff alleges Olympus Insurance has refused to honor its contractual obligations and pay for the covered loss.

Aguirre-Timm seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus costs, prejudgment interest and attorney fees. She is represented by attorneys Hunter Patterson, Alicia Perez, and Michael Patrick of Strems Law Firm in Orlando.
