Lawsuits
Car accident 06

CLEARWATER — A driver is suing Aubrey O. Discus, a Cadillac owner, citing alleged negligence.

Dreanne Jones filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Aubrey O. Discus alleging that the Cadillac owner negligently operated or maintained her motor vehicle so that it collided with the plaintiff's vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 21, 2017, she was driving a 2009 Saturn Buick motor vehicle traveling northbound on McMullen Booth in Safety Harbor when defendant caused her vehicle to collide with plaintiff's vehicle. The plaintiff says she suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of earnings and medical, nursing and hospitalization expenses. The plaintiff holds Aubrey O. Discus responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain proper control of her vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of costs and fees. She is represented by William H. Winters of Winters & Yonker in Tampa.
