ORLANDO — An Orlando property owner is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Antoinette Peck, formerly known as Antoinette Yost, filed a complaint Sept. 20 in Orange County Circuit Court against American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida, alleging failure to provide insurance coverage after a hurricane.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 10, 2017, Peck sustained property damages at 1602 Cardinal Road, Orlando, a result of Hurricane Irma. Peck says she complied with all conditions precedent to entitle her to recover under the insurance policy but American Integrity refuses to acknowledge her claim and provide coverage.

The plaintiff alleges American Integrity Insurance has refused to pay for damages to Peck's’ home and failed to pay the statutory interest penalties and the statutory attorney fees required by law.

Peck seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 with interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney Thomas E. N. Shea of The Nation Law Firm LLP in Longwood.
