CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County driver is suing a vehicle owner and operator, alleging their negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Lester Rollins filed a complaint Sept. 6 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Lauren Elizabeth Bimonte and Lori Bimonte alleging failure to entrust and operate the motor vehicle in a reasonably prudent and careful manner.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 8, 2015, Rollins was operating a motor vehicle on Court Street in Clearwater when he was struck by Lauren Elizabeth Bimonte's 2006 BMW being operated by Loria A. Bimonte.

As a result, Rollins says he sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and the expense of hospitalization.

The plaintiff alleges the Bimontes carelessly and negligently maintained, operated and/or controlled the BMW so that it collided with Rollins' motor vehicle.

Rollins seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus costs, pre- and post-judgment interest, and all other just relief. He is represented by attorneys Paul Puzzanghera and Christopher Hamblen of Puzzanghera Law Offices in Clearwater.
