ORLANDO — A Volusia County man is suing a trucking company, alleging negligent entrustment of a vehicle.

Gary Ray Warren filed a complaint Sept. 4 in Orange County Circuit Court against J.M.J. Trucking Inc., alleging the defendant entrusted a truck to an unknown driver who negligently operated the vehicle, causing a collision.

According to the complaint, on April 24, Warren was driving a 2015 Toyota south on Round Lake Road near the intersection of Sadler Road in Orange County. The suit says a J.M.J Trucking truck operated by an unknown driver struck Warren's Toyota.

As a result, Warren says he sustained bodily injuries, disability, mental anguish and medical and nursing care.

The plaintiff alleges the J.M.J. Trucking driver failed to maintain a single lane and partially crossed into Warren's lane, causing a collision.

Warren seeks trial by jury, damages exceeding $15,000, plus court costs. He is represented by attorney Nancye R. Jones of Politis & Matovina PA in Port Orange.
