CLEARWATER — A visitor is suing an Indian Rocks Beach condo association, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.
Jo Daugherity filed a complaint Aug. 31 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Reef Club Condominium Association of Indian Rocks Beach Inc., alleging the property controller failed to exercise reasonable care for the safety of its invitees.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 9, Daugherity was injured in a poorly lit area of of the defendant's premises, 1000 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach. She says she sustained injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disability, medical expenses and disfigurement.
The plaintiff alleges Reef Club Condominium Association of Indian Rocks Beach failed to maintain adequate lighting and failed adequately warn Daugherity of the existing danger.
Daugherity seeks seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by by attorney Steven A. Capriati of Morgan & Morgan PA in Tampa.
