Insurance company faces lawsuit by homeowner

ORLANDO — A homeowner accuses an insurance company of wrongfully denying a property damage claim.

Maifu Fang and Zhaoxia Zhu filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Federated National Insurance Company, alleging that the liability insurer failed to perform under the terms of the contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff's property was damaged as a  result of wind damage. Subsequently, she made a claim for the benefits  due under the policy provided by the defendant. The plaintiff claims the company failed and refused to pay the covered losses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages to which she is entitled. They are represented by S. Antonio Jimenez of Diverse Legal Solutions Law Firm in Miramar.
