CLEARWATER — A Florida resident says Americans Traditions Insurance Company wrongfully denied a property damage claim.
Charles Clator filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Americans Traditions Insurance Company, alleging that the insurer breached its duty of good faith and fair dealings.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff's property in Largo suffered water damage. Although the plaintiff made a timely claim for the damage, the defendant refused to fully pay the claim.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages including actual and compensatory damages, prejudgment interest, costs of action and attorney’s fees. He is represented by Grant W. Krapf of Krapf Legal PA in Dunedin.
