ORLANDO — A woman's crab cake dinner led to a lawsuit against a Winter Park seafood restaurant.

Jocelyn Amalong filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Lombardi's Seafood Inc., alleging the restaurant operator failed to provide food fit for human consumption.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff ate crab cake at the restaurant in Winter Park. As a result of defendant's negligence, she suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, medical and nursing care and treatment expenses and loss of earnings, the complaint states. The plaintiff holds Lombardi's Seafood Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently served contaminated shellfish.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $15,000. She is represented by Brian T. Wilson of Dellecker Wilson King McKenna Ruffier & Sos in Orlando.
