Car accident 26

CLEARWATER — A car accident in St. Petersburg prompted one motorist to take the other to court.

Sarah T. Otero filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Angelina Thammakane, alleging the motorist failed to exercise standard care in the operation of a vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was stopped at a traffic sign on the corner of Haines Road and 34th Street in St. Petersburg when the defendant rear-ended her vehicle. The plaintiff claims she suffers from permanent, debilitating injuries to critical bodily functions. She also experienced pain and suffering, incurred medical expenses, loss of wages and diminished quality of life, the complaint states.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for an amount in excess of $15,000. She is represented by David A. Fernandez of Florida Trial Counsel in Bradenton.
