ORLANDO — A customer is suing a Lake Buena Vista fashion company, alleging negligence caused her to be hit by a malfunctioning door.

Brittany Leclair filed a complaint Aug. 23 in Orange County Circuit Court against Kate Spade & Company, alleging the defendant failed in the maintenance and care of the premises.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 23, 2017, Leclair was lawfully at Kate Spade, 1520 E. Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, when she was struck by a malfunctioning, unrepaired and unmaintained door, causing severe injuries.

The plaintiff alleges Kate Spade failed to act reasonably in the maintenance and care of the entry/exit door on the premises, allowing a dangerous condition in the store.

Leclair seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, costs and all other necessary and proper relief. She is represented by attorney Daniel P. Osterndorf of Pardy & Rodriguez PA in Orlando.
