ORLANDO — Two Orlando homeowners are suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Claudio Brown and Leonard Fields filed a complaint Aug. 20 in Orange County Circuit Court against Security First Insurance Company, alleging the defendangt failed to provide insurance coverage for the plaintiffs' losses.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2017, the property of Brown and Fields at 5207 Micco Drive, Orlando, sustained dwelling damage from Hurricane Irma that was covered under the homeowners' policy.

Brown and Fields say their insurance policy with Security First was in full force and effect during the damage but they have not received any payment to cover their losses.

The plaintiffs allege Security First Insurance has failed or refuses to fully perform under the policy and has failed to fully pay for all the plaintiffs’ losses as required by the insurance policy.

Brown and Fields seek trial by jury, judgment in excess of $15,000 with interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees and court costs. They are represented by attorney Gina Kimmel of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
