Car accident 04

CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligent driving caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

William Goon filed a complaint Aug. 16 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Joseph Carpino alleging the defendant failed to operate his vehicle in a safe manner.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 4, 2017, Goon was driving on U.s. Highway 19 North at Curlew Road in Clearwater when his vehicle was struck by Carpino's car, causing a collision.

As a result, Goon says he sustained bodily injuries, causing pain, disability, mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of the ability to earn money.

The plaintiff alleges Carpino negligently operated or maintained his motor vehicle so that it collided with Goon's car.

Goon seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, court costs, prejudgment interest and all other relief deemed appropriate. He is represented by attorney Benjamin G. DeBerg of DeBerg & DeBerg PA in St. Petersburg.
