CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County business is suing a concrete contractor, alleging breach of contract by failing to complete work on a project.

Paul J. Skipper Inc. filed a complaint Aug. 16 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Pro-Crete Systems of Florida, LLC, alleging failure to complete work under the contract's agreed specifications, or in a workmanlike manner consistent with the accepted standards of the construction industry for Pinellas County.

According to the complaint, between Oct. 26, 2015, and June 20, 2016, Paul J. Skipper entered into a three written subcontracts with Pro-Crete Systems for a project known as the “Selene Restaurant.”

Skipper says he timely complied with all requirements of the contract, including payment of all sums, but the project was not completed, specifically the new flooring systems including leveling, subflooring and top coat labor.

The plaintiff alleges Pro-Crete Systems of Florida failed to complete the work under the contract in a workmanlike manner and failed to respond to demands to remedy the defects and deficiencies.

Paul J. Skipper Inc. seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, costs of action and all further just and proper relief. It is represented by attorney Brian P. Deeb of Deeb Law Group PA in St. Petersburg.
