CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Patricia Maysonet filed a complaint Aug. 9 in PInellas Circuit Court against Tong Oung, alleging the motorist failed to exercise standard care and skill in the operation of a vehicle.
According to the complaint, on July 28, 2017, Maysonet was driving near 46th Avenue and 56th Street in Kenneth City when she was rammed into by a vehicle negligently driven by Oung. The suit says Maysonet sustained bodily injury, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings and aggravation of a previous existing condition.
The plaintiff alleges Oung caused damages to Maysonet's vehicle and deprived her of the use of her property, breached duty of care by causing the motor vehicle collision, and forced the plaintiff to retain and pay for the services of legal counsel.
Maysonet seeks trial by jury and damages in excess of $15,000. She is represented by attorney James D. Arnold Jr. of Morgan & Morgan Tampa PA in St. Petersburg.
