Holland & Knight LLP issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
Litigation attorney Benjamin Robinson has joined Holland & Knight's Orlando office and National Construction Industry Practice as a partner. He was previously with Broad & Cassel in Orlando and Jones Day in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Robinson also served in the federal judiciary, where he was deputy rules officer and counsel to the Judicial Conference of the U.S. Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure. In that role, he worked closely on procedural, legislative and litigation policy matters with federal judges, prominent lawyers, state chief justices, and high-level Justice Department officials and federal public defender organizations.
"Ben's experience in federal court will enhance our construction practice both locally and nationally," said Ben Subin, the leader of Holland & Knight's Florida Construction Industry Group. "Our construction group is busier than ever. Our clients will benefit greatly from his support."
In private practice, Mr. Robinson has focused on complex business litigation and white collar criminal matters. He was recently recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers.
"The opportunity to join such a thriving practice at a national firm is one I couldn't pass up," said Mr. Robinson. "I hope and expect to contribute greatly to the success of the group and our clients."
Mr. Robinson received a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and an A.B. from Wabash College.
