CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County man is suing a Clearwater health facility, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries to the plaintiff.

Peter J. Delio filed a complaint Aug. 8 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Operation Par Inc., alleging failure to properly maintain the premises in such a manner as to either prevent dangerous conditions or sufficiently warn business invitees of such conditions.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 23, 2017, Delio was lawfully on the premises of Operation Par in Clearwater when he slipped and fell on a dangerous condition/slipping hazard, consisting of water. As a result, Delio says he sustained bodily injury, great physical pain, mental anguish and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Operation Par created a dangerous condition/slipping hazard consisting of water on the floor of the premises, and by failing to correct or provide adequate warning of the dangerous condition.

Delio seeks trial by jury, damages more than $15,000 and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney John McKnight of Pipas Law Group in St. Petersburg.
