Car accident 30

ORLANDO — A Jacksonville motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash.

Gregory Campbell filed a complaint Aug. 1 in Orange County Circuit Court against Ryan Casey, alleging the motorist failed to exercise standard care and skill in operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on May 21, 2017, while Campbell was traveling westbound on Interstate Highway 4 in Orange County, his vehicle was hit from behind by a car driven by Casey. The suit says Campbell sustained bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff alleges Casey failed to follow at a safe distance behind Campbell's motor vehicle, failed to slow down or take any precautionary measures and failed to timely apply the brakes.

Campbel seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of costs. He is represented by attorneys Kristopher M. Nowicki and Lisa M. Nommensen of Law Offices of Nooney & Roberts in Jacksonville.
