ORLANDO — A Clermont motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Anthony Warner filed a complaint July 25 in Orange County Circuit Court against Gladys Torres, alleging she failed to operate her motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 23, 2016, Warner was operating a motor vehicle traveling eastbound on West Colonial Drive and exiting to the southbound ramp of the Florida Turnpike in Oakland when Torres' vehicle collided with his car.

Warner says he has sustained bodily injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience and loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life. The plaintiff alleges Torres failed to maintain driving in her lane and carelessly attempted to change lanes when it was unsafe to do so.

Warner seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus costs, interest and all other just and equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Logan J. Young of Dan Newlin & Partners in Oakland.
