ORLANDO — A Palm Beach County man is suing Walt Disney, alleging negligence at one of its Bay Lake theme parks.

Jeremy Hodel filed a complaint July 25 in Orange County Circuit Court against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc., alleging failure to exercise reasonable care for the plaintiff's safety.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 2, 2017, Hodel was injured at Disney's All-Star Music Resort when he slipped and fell due due to a slippery and wet substance that was on the stairwell steps of the resort.

Hodel says he sustained injuries in and about his body and extremities, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement and hospitalization, medical and nursing care expenses. The plaintiff alleges Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US failed to adequately maintain the stairwell in and around the resort and failed to adequately warn Hodel of the dangerous condition when it knew or should have known of its existence.

Hodel seeks trial by jury, damages of not less than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney Lawrence Gonzalez II of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
