FORT LAUDERDALE — A Broward County motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Liat Kind filed a complaint July 27 in Broward County Circuit Court against Nathan Eachus, alleging failure to exercise standard care and skill in the operation of a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 21, 2017, Kind was driving on state Road 9 and the southbound Interstate Highway 95 ramp in Broward County. The suit says Eachus carelessly operated a 2016 Maserati Ghibli, causing it to collide with the plaintiff's vehicle.

As a result of Eachus' negligence, the suit says, Kind sustained severe and permanent injuries, including pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of earnings, medical expenses, aggravation of pre-existing conditions and loss of enjoyment of life.

The plaintiff alleges Eachus failed to obey traffic signals and keep a safe distance away from other vehicles, and operated his vehicle at an excessive rate of speed.

Kind seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, court costs, attorney fees and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Gabriel Dominelli of Colgan Dominelli Law PLLC in Miami.
