Lauderhill dog owners cited in pets' attack

FORT LAUDERDALE — A Fort Lauderdale man resident is suing Lauderhill dog owners, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent their pets from attacking the plaintiff.

Tony Elliott filed a complaint July 18 in Broward County Circuit Court against Latanya R. Rush and Randall Rush, alleging the defendants negligently permitted dogs to roam their Lauderhill property and attack another individual.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 7, Elliott was viciously attacked and bitten by three dogs owned by the Rushes at 3120 NW Fourth Court, Lauderhill. As a result, Elliot says he suffered serious bodily injuries, pain, mental anguish, an incurred medical expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges the Rushes negligently permitted dogs to roam their property and that the pets attacked another individual.

Elliott seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000. exclusive of costs, interest, attorney fees and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney William C. Ruggiero of Law Offices of William C. Ruggiero in Fort Lauderdale.
