Broward County motorist alleges another driver caused I-95 crash

FORT LAUDERDALE — A Broward County motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Eliecer Medina Herrera filed a complaint July 13 in Broward County Circuit Court against Rashad Abli-Shanab, alleging the defendant carelessly operated his vehicle so as to caused it to crash into plaintiff's car.

According to the complaint, on June 23, Abli-Shanab was traveling on Interstate Highway 95 near the Hallandale exit when he negligently struck Herrera's plaintiff's vehicle. 

Herrera says he sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement and medical expenses. The plaintiff alleges Abli-Shanab failed to keep proper lookout, failed to maintain control of his vehicle and failed to take proper evasive actions to avoid a collision.

Herrera seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, prejudgment interest, attorney fees, costs and any other just and proper relief. He is represented by attonreys Marc E. Schwartz and Bradley A. Ross of Greenspoon Marder PA in Fort Lauderdale.
