FORT LAUDERDALE — A car buyer is suing an auto manufacturer, alleging breach of warranties.

Gloria Janette Mori filed a complaint July 13 in Broward County Circuit Court against FCA US LLC, alleging the auto manufacturer failed to comply with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

According to the complaint, on April 28, 2018, Mori leased a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 for $47,374.43 from the FCA US seller. Shortly after purchase, the suit says, Mori experienced various defects with the vehicle that substantially impaired its use, value and safety.

Due to ineffective repairs, Mori says, she has been damaged. The plaintiff alleges FCA US, despite numerous attempts to repair the Dodge Ram 1500, has failed to repair the vehicle to conform with its warranties.

Mori seeks trial by jury, judgment against the defendant for diminution in value of the vehicle, costs of repair, incidental and consequential damages, attorney fees, costs and all other just and appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Brent Wikgren of Krohn & Moss Ltd. in Chicago.
