Car accident 35

CLEARWATER — A vehicle passenger is suing a vehicle owner and driver, alleging negligence caused injuries.

Jose Mohammed of Oldsmar filed a complaint July 16 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Matthew Joseph Nemow and Ralph M. Pileggi, alleging the defendants negligently entrusted and operated a vehicle, causing a collision with the vehicle where the plaintiff was a passenger.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 5, 2017, Jose Mohammed was passenger in a 1999 Lexus ES 300, traveling on 22nd Street North, near 54th Avenue North, St. Petersburg. The suit says the Lexus was struck directly by Pileggi's vehicle, which was being driven by Nemoy.

As a result, Mohammed says he sustained physical injuries, mental anguish, disfigurement, disability and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Nemow and Pileggi failed to exercise reasonable care in the maintenance and operation of the motor vehicle, causing a collision and injuries to another individual.

Mohammed seeks trial by jury, actual and compensatory damages of more than $15,000, plus court costs and all further just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Chelsie M. Lamie of Personal Injury Law Office of Chelsie M. Lamie PA in Safety Harbor.
