Contract 05

FORT LAUDERDALE — A Florida corporation is suing a yacht refinishing business, citing alleged negligence, breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation and unjust enrichment.

Amora LLC filed a complaint on July 17 in the Broward County Circuit Court against Recovery Yacht Refinishing LLC, alleging that the defendant woefully, deceptively and negligently failed to perform the contracted job.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2017 Amora contracted with Recovery Yacht to refinish and repaint a maritime vessel at a cost of $100,000. However, Recovery Yacht allegedly botched the job. As a result, Amora has been damaged and continues to suffer monetary damages.

The plaintiff holds Recovery Yacht Refinishing responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to exercise reasonable care in repainting and refinishing the vessel.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of costs, interest, attorney's fees, and such further relief as the court deems just and proper. It is represented by Matthew R. Simring of Simring Law in Orlando Park.
