ORLANDO – An Orlando resident alleges water damage to her property should be covered by her insurance policy.

Grisette Acevedo filed a complaint on July 2 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Florida Peninsula Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 1, 2017, her property and dwelling located at 2653 Delcrest Drive in Orlando was damaged by water, which she alleges is covered under her policy with the defendant.

The plaintiff holds Florida Peninsula Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay for the full value for roofing and construction services.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for all unpaid bills, with interest, costs, attorney fees and all other remedies that the court sees fit to award. She is represented by Caleb Payne of Cohen Law Group in Maitland.
