ORLANDO — A Polk County woman is suing an Orlando hotel and convention center, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

June Haines filed a complaint June 22 in Orange County Circuit Court against Rosen Hotels and Resorts Inc., alleging failure to exercise reasonable care for the safety of its invitees.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 17, 2016, Haines was injured when she slipped and fell on a slippery substance on the lobby floor of the Rosen Hotel. She says she sustained permanent injuries to her body, pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement and mental anguish.

The plaintiff alleges Rosen Hotels and Resorts failed to inspect and maintain the hotel floors in a reasonably safe condition and failed to provide adequate warning of the existing danger.

Haines seeks trial by jury, more than $15,000 in damages, and all other proper relief. She is represented by attorney George H. Anderson III of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
