CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County man is suing a Clearwater gentlemen's club, alleging negligence led to a firearms attack.

Aaron Michael Green filed a complaint June 15 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against 24 KT LLC, doing business as 24 Karat Gentlemen's Club, failure to provide a safe and secure environment.

According to the complaint, on April 25, 2016, Green was a customer at 24 Karat Gentlemen's Club when he was shot and severely injured by assailants who were patrons on the premises. The suit says Green sustained injuries in and about his body and extremities, resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of the enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings and aggravation of a previous existing condition.

The plaintiff alleges 24 Karat Gentlemen's Club failed to adequately warn him of a dangerous situation, failed to provide adequate or appropriate security, and failed to properly hire and train its employees to avoid assaults.

Green seeks trial by jury and damages in excess of $15,000. He is represented by attorney Darrell W. Kropog Jr. of Morgan & Morgan Tampa PA in St. Petersburg.
