CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County motorist is suing another driver and vehicle owner, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Linda Colandrea filed a complaint June 11 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Amanda Lynn Foxwell and Linda Lousie Springfield alleging the defendants negligently operated or maintained a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 4, 2017, Colandrea was driving near the intersection of 66th Street North and 6th Avenue North in St. Petersburg. The suit says a motor vehicle driven by Foxwell and owned by Springfield collided with the plaintiff's car, resulting in a crash.
As a result, Colandrea says she suffered bodily injuries, pain, disability, mental anguish, expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, and damages to property.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to exercise reasonable care by negligently operating or maintaining a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm to other motorists.
Colandrea seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs, attorney fees and all further relief the court deems just and proper. She is represented by attorney Juan Asconape of Schwed, Adams, Sobel & McGinley, PA in Palm Beach Gardens.
