ORLANDO — Two Appopka property owners are suing a liability insurer, alleging breach of an insurance contract.

Fredrick Bonadonna and Susan Bonadonna filed a complaint June 11 in Orange County Circuit Court against American Traditions Insurance Company, alleging, failure or refusal to fully perform under the policy.

According to the complaint, on July 4, 2017, and again Sept. 11, 2017, the plaintiffs' dwelling at 1241 Dover Circle in Apopka sustained storm damage during the policy period issued by American Traditions. The Bonadonnas say they notified American Traditions of the loss and but have yet to receive payments.

The plaintiffs allege American Traditions Insurance has failed to fully value the Bonadonnas' losses and failed to fully pay the same as required by the insurance policy.

The Bonadonnas seek trial by jury, damages of at least $15,000 for the plaintiffs’ losses with interest, attorney fees and court costs. They are represented by attorney Roger A. Hatfield of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
