ORLANDO — A customer is suing an Orlando mall operator, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Paola Catrillon filed a complaint June 11 in Orange County Circuit Court against M M M Lakewood LLLP, alleging the mall operator failed to maintain its premises free of hazardous conditions.
According to the complaint, on May 19, 2017, Catrillon was a business invitee at the defendant’s Fashion Square Mall in Orlando when she slipped on spilled orange juice while walking through the common area of the mall.
Catrillon says she sustained bodily injuries, mental and/or psychological disorders, and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of the ability to earn money. The plaintiff alleges M M M Lakewood failed to provide a safe environment to its business invitees and failed to provide warnings of the unsafe condition.
Catrillon seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $15,000 and all further relief the court deems just and proper. She is represented by attorney Michael Bryan Sanchez of The Pendás Law Firm in Orlando.
