ORLANDO — A Winter Garden resident is suing a liability insurer, alleging breach of contract.

Kevin Klauk filed a complaint June 11 in Orange County Circuit Court against Security First Insurance Company, doing business as Security First Florida, alleging failure to fully perform its obligations as required by the insurance policy.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2017, Klauk's dwelling at 15050 Masthead Landing Circle, Winter Garden, was damaged by Hurricane Irma while the Security First insurance policy was in full force and effect.

The plaintiff alleges Security First Florida has failed or refuses to fully pay for all of Klauk's losses.

Klauk seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 to fully pay the plaintiff’s losses, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney Roger A. Hatfield of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
