ORLANDO — An Orlando customer is suing Home Depot, alleging negligence led to injuries.
Charles Bond filed a complaint May 30 in Orange County Circuit Court against Home Depot USA Inc., alleging the defendant failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 22, 2016, Bond was shopping at the Home Deport store, 7022 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando, when he slipped and fell as a result of a puddle of clear substance that was left to on the floor of the store. The suit says the fall caused Bond to sustain bodily injury, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, medical expenses and aggravation of a previous existing condition.
The plaintiff alleges Home Depot failed to correct or warn its customers of the dangerous condition on the floor, failed to follow its policies and procedures for adequate inspection and maintenance of its premises and failed to supervise and train its employees on proper maintenance of the premises.
Bond seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000 and court costs. He is represented by attorney Bradley S. Robinson of Farah & Farah PA in Savannah, Georgia.
