ORLANDO — An Orange County man is suing Orlando property controllers, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Eric Stommel filed a complaint May 31 in Orange County Circuit Court against UPGAT Services Inc., TCAT Realty Services, and Richard Tressleer alleging failure to exercise reasonable care for the safety of the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 26, 2016, Strommel was at a residential property, 1723 N. Sixth St., Orlando.  a home controlled by defendants. The suit says Strommel's leg plunged through the wooden floor, leading to injuries, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, scarring, loss of earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to adequately inspect and maintain the home and failed to correct the dangerous condition of the floor.

Strommel seeks trial by jury, judgment in excess of $15,000, plus interest and court costs. He is represented by attorney Dane Jordan of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
