ORLANDO — A property owner is suing American Security Insurance Company, a licensed insurer, citing alleged breach of insurance contract.

Carlos Jaime filed a complaint on May 30 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida-Orange County against American Security Insurance Company alleging that the licensed insurer failed or refused to fully perform under the policy,.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that plaintiff's dwelling located at 1234 Wildwood St. in Apopka sustained damage while the insurance policy issued by defendant was in full force and effect. He made a claim to recover his losses under the policy but was unsuccessful. The plaintiff holds American Security Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to fully pay for all of his losses as required by the insurance policy.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for plaintiff’s losses, with interest, attorney's fees and costs. He is represented by James J. Dye of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
