ORLANDO — A property owner is suing Robert Harrison Richmond, a real estate agent, citing alleged conversion.
Christopher Johnston filed a complaint on May 23 in the Orange Circuit Court against Robert Harrison Richmond alleging that he breached his duty of good faith and fair dealing.
According to the complaint, Johnston alleges that on March 31, 2014, he suffered financial harm as a result of entering into a Property Management Service Agreement with the defendant, who fraudulently collected rental income and a security deposit from tenants without the intent to turn them over to him.
The plaintiff holds Robert Harrison Richmond responsible because he allegedly collected rental income from tenants with the intent to deprive the plaintiff of those funds, and failed to turn over the tenants’ security deposit to the plaintiff upon the termination of their agreement.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for compensatory and treble damages, attorney's fees, costs of action and further relief as the court may deem just. He is represented by Matthew DeBoard of Barrister Law Firm PA in Orlando.
