ORLANDO – An Orange County man alleges that he was injured while working because the dump truck he was operating malfunctioned.

Orin M. Stephens filed a complaint on May 17 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Chinsegut Management Group LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 12, 2017, he reported to work as a dump truck operator for the defendant. While on the job, the defendant's dump truck allegedly malfunctioned, causing Stephens to suffer severe back injuries.

The plaintiff holds Chinsegut Management Group, LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the dump truck and failed to warn him of an issue with the bed cover.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorneys' fees and such other further relief as the court may deem proper. He is represented by Jonathan T. Gilbert of Colling Gilbert Wright & Carter in Orlando.
