CLEARWATER — An individual is suing Lew Electrical Services LLC, a contractor, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Polone Parks filed a complaint on May 16 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against Lew Electrical Services LLC alleging that the contractor failed to properly train on proper use and placement of the electrical extension cord.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 25, 2017, the plaintiff suffered serious and permanent injuries, physical pain and suffering, disability, inconvenience, disfigurement, loss of earning capacity and medical-related expenses due to the negligence of defendant's employees. The plaintiff holds Lew Electrical Services LLC responsible because the defendant employee allegedly negligently created a hazardous condition by placing the electrical extension cord across an area where it posed a tripping risk to pedestrians.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $15,000, plus costs and for such other relief to which plaintiff may be justly entitled. The plaintiff is represented by Matthew S. Carney of Carey Leisure & Neal in Clearwater.
