CLEARWATER — A business invitee is suing Speedway LLC, a convenience store owner, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Tracey Lazzara filed a complaint on May 16 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against Speedway LLC alleging that the convenience store owner failed to provide a safe environment for its business invitees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 6, 2017, she was at the defendant's convenience store located. at 1625 N. McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater when she tripped and fell over a box in the aisle. She was injured in and about her body and extremities. The plaintiff holds Speedway LLC responsible because the defendant's employees allegedly negligently created an unreasonable dangerous condition by placing the box in an aisle that was regularly traversed by its business invitees and failed to maintain its premises in a reasonably safe manner.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages which exceeds $15,000 and all further demands at trial by jury on all issues. She is represented by Joel P. Yanchuck of Yanchuck Berman Wadley Thomas & Berman PA in St. Petersburg.
