ORLANDO — A New York jewelry company is suing an Orlando jewel business, alleging refusal to apply payments of more than $30,000.

Jay Gems Inc,. also known as Simply Diamonds, filed a complaint April 26 in Orange County Circuit Court against Avalon Park Jewelers LLC in Orlando, alleging failure to pay for products sold and delivered.

According to the complaint, between Feb. 11, 2015, and Nov. 10, 2017, Simply Diamonds had business transactions with Avalon Park Jewelers. The plaintiff alleges it had goods sold and delivered amounting to $30,036.04, which the defendant agreed to pay. The lawsuit says Avalon Park never made good on the payments despite Simply Diamonds sending all invoices.

The plaintiff alleges Avalon Park Jewelers has failed and refuses to pay the total amount, breaching its duty to the agreed transactions.

Simply Diamonds seeks trial by jury, judgment of $30,036.04 with interest and costs, plus any further relief the court deems proper. It is represented by attorney Richard D. Ahlquist of Richard D. Ahlquist & Associates PA in Sarasota.
