FORT LAUDERDALE – A Fort Lauderdale man alleges his insurer has failed to pay his property damage claim.

Jason Sterr filed a complaint on April 24 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Tower Hill Signature Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that his property suffered damages while it was insured under a policy issued by the defendant. He alleges the defendant has refused and continues to refuse to pay either part or all of his claims.

The plaintiff holds Tower Hill Signature Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant's denial of coverage and refusal to pay breaches the terms of the insurance policy.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $15,000, including but not limited to damage to the property, contents, loss of use, interest and attorney's fees and costs and demands the court take jurisdiction over the parties involved and determine the rights and duties of parties under the insurance policy. He is represented by Peter Mineo Jr. of The Mineo Salcedo Law Firm PA in Davie.
