CLEARWATER — A Hillsborough County man is suing a Largo medical facility, alleging negligence led to his declining health.
Armand "Arnold" Blom filed a complaint April 26 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Largo Medical Center Inc, doing business as Largo Medical Center, alleging the medical facility breached the professional standard of care and treatment.
According to the complaint, Blom began receiving treatments for a skin condition in January 2016. The suit says in January 2018 Boom was denied proper and appropriate care and treatment at Largo Medical Center. Blom says he has developed a worsening of a decubitus ulcer, nerve damage and drop foot, has suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish and incurred medical and nursing care expenses.
He alleges Largo Medical Center failed to prevent his skin breakdown from worsening. The plaintiff says Largo Medical Center failed to timely and appropriately evaluate and assess Blom's for risk of skin breakdown.
Blom seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest and court costs. He is represented by attorney Andy B. Steingold of Maney/Gordon PA in Tampa.
