ORLANDO — An Arizona customer is suing Dave and Buster's, alleging negligence causing injuries.
Andrea James of Maricopa County, Arizona, filed a complaint April 20 in Orange County Circuit Court against Greg Corbly and Dave & Buster's of Florida Inc., alleging failure to maintain the business in a reasonably safe and clean condition.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 27, 2016, James was visiting Dave and Buster's, 8986 International Drive, Orlando. The suit says James slipped and fell on a transitory foreign substance. As a result, James says, she sustained physical injuries, mental anguish, the expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and loss of earning power.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to adequately inspect the premises/flooring, to ascertain whether the transitory foreign substance constituted a slip or trip hazard to patrons.
James seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Lawrence Gonzalez II of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
