ORLANDO — A Connecticut customer is suing an Orlando automotive parts manufacturer, alleging breach of implied warranty and design defect.

Ryan Krohn of Thompson, Connecticut, filed a complaint April 10 in Orange County Circuit Cour against Raw Brokerage Inc., alleging the defendant delivered a nonconforming product to a customer.

According to the complaint, in November 2015, Krohn received a high-horsepower custom racing engine from Raw Brokerage that was specifically designed for use for everyday driving on public roads and for high-speed racing on a track.

Krohn alleges the engine resulted in coolant leaks and hairline fractures and that it had to be returned to the defendants. Despite rebuilding a new engine that underwent "break in" process and diagnostic test, the suit says, the new engine still has defects issues and the engine cannot be used.

The plaintiff alleges Raw Brokerage failed to produce an engine that was capable of producing enough horsepower for the car to be used for racing.

Krohn seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus attorney fees, costs of litigation and all further relief the court deems fair and equitable. He is represented by attorney Noah J. Kores of Gulash & Associates, LLC in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
