Motorist blames another driver for crash, injuries

Car accident 18

FORT LAUDERDALE — A vehicle driver is suing another motorist and vehicle owner, alleging negligence caused a rear-end collision that injured the plaintiff.

Jenilette Scott filed a complaint March 26 in Broward County Circuit Court against Grace Castro and Kyla Castro, alleging failure to operate and maintain vehicle in a reasonable and safe manner.

According to the complaint, on May 19, 2017, Scott was operating a motor vehicle near 8300 Stirling Road in Davie. The suit says Kyla Castro, driving a vehicle owned by Grace Castro, crashed into the rear of Scott's vehicle.

As a result, Scott says she sustained bodily injuries, disability, loss of enjoyment of life and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Kyla Castro failed to keep proper lookout for another vehicle on the roadway and, eventually, crashed into the rear of another motorist's vehicle.

Scott seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Dallas A. Robinson of Robinson Trial Lawyers PA in Pembroke Pines.
